We stop on our drive along the Great Ocean Road to marvel at the Split Point Lighthouse in Airey’s Inlet. Walking up the path after eating scones at the Split Point Tea Rooms I notice the different textures of the plants along the path. The the tall white lighthouse looms above us with its bright red bell top and the caretakers cottage at the base. Even during the day it is a beacon of safety perched on the cliff top. The kids run around the garden surrounds as we decide if we will climb the 300 stairs to the top!
